As part of our topic this term, “St Francis teaches us to care about animals”, we would like your child to have the opportunity to see and learn about animals first hand so we have organised a trip to PLANTASIA on Friday 27th May.
Details are:
Trip: PLANTASIA Date: Friday 27th May
Who: Dosbarth St Gladys & Dosbarth St David
Time: leave school at 9.00am and return by 3.20pm

We are asking for a contribution of £10 per child to cover the cost of transport and entry. School fund will be used to subsidise the trip for all pupils.
Pupils in receipt of FSM will be paid for in full using the Pupil Development Grant.
Whilst no child will be excluded from the trip for not making a contribution, if not enough contributions are made then the trip will be cancelled.
The £10 contribution can be made via Parent Pay – no cash can be accepted.
Please make your contribution by FRIDAY 20th MAY 2022
For this trip your child will need:
Packed lunch * Only FSM pupils will be provided with a lunch from school
All pupils need to wear full school uniform – this is essential for safeguarding purposes.
A waterproof coat – we never know what the weather will be like!
No spending money needed.

Acorn Club
Fri 08 Apr 2022ACORN CLUB
We are so happy to announce that we are starting ACORN CLUB! 😊
ACORN Club is a time for parents and carers to come to school and read a story to their child. This will take place in the school hall and Miss Croll will be available to support you in choosing a book and making a cup of tea!
It is a very friendly session where mums or dads or nans or aunties can spend quality time with their child developing a love for reading for pleasure!

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are invited to ACORN Club!
When? Every Thursday 9.10 – 10.00am
Where? In the school hall
You do not need to bring anything, everything will be provided.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Thu 16 Dec 2021IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM WELSH GOVERNMENT:
Due to the current situation with cases rising dramatically, school will not reopen for pupils until Thursday 6th January 2022.
This may change to a later date depending on scientific data surrounding the rate of the infection after Christmas. Therefore it is important that you check Schoop, Seesaw and the school website for messages. When pupils return, there is likely to be an increase in safety measures. More details will follow.

KS1 Christmas Nativity 2021
Fri 10 Dec 2021The Christmas concert for KS1 has now been recorded and all pupils did an amazing performance and are excited for you all to watch!!!!!
Mrs Evans and Miss Jones along with the rest of the KS1 staff have worked extremely hard over the last few weeks.
The Christmas concert will be uploaded on SEESAW next week as the play needs to have the last finishes touches added to make it that extra bit special.
