Mrs Lewis / PPA
Welcome back everyone!
I am Mrs Lewis and I will be covering the PPA sessions in St David, St Teilo and St Tathan this year but you might see pop up in other class across the beginning of the week.
This term in each of the classes we will be learning some new Welsh language and expanding our knowledge of Shape, Space and Measure within Maths. We will also start or end each session with calming worship based around different topics.
During the Autumn term we will be:
St Davids
Welsh: We will be learning about what the weather is like outside and what we can do in each of the weather types. We will be writing Welsh weather poems and performing them to the rest of the class.
Maths: We are starting the term off by looking at how we can measure accurately in cm. We will also be looking at which unit of measurement we should use to measure different object both in and outside of the classroom.
St Teilo
Welsh: We will be learning about illnesses this term and thinking about creating dialogues between a doctor and their patient.
Maths: We are starting the term off by looking at time. We have been reading the time on analogue clocks and focusing on making sure our hands are in the right positions.
St Tathan
Welsh: We will be learning about leisure activities. We have been discussing what we like to do and what we don't like to do. We have also been learning how to say what we enjoy and what we hate to do.
Maths: We are starting the term off by looking at perimeter. We have been considering the best way to find out the perimeter of a shape and solving some tricky perimeter problems.
Keep checking back for more news on our learning across the year!
