Welcome back everyone! 

I hope everyone had a fantastic summer break.  I am Mrs Lewis and I will be teaching PPA this year in Dosbarth St David, Dosbarth St Teilo and Dosbarth St Tathan! You might also see me pop into Dosbarth St Cadoc or Dosbarth St Gladys for an afternoon of activities. 

This term in each class we will be covering: 

Dosbarth St David: 

Science - Is it safe to eat? 

We will be exploring whether the 5 second rule is safe. Is it fine to eat food once it has been dropped on the floor even if it is only for 5 seconds? 

ICT - We will be looking at databases and creating our own database for African and Welsh Cities. We will also be developing our coding skills and learning how to use block code to move our sprint around. 

Dosbarth St Teilo: 

Science - Does aging slow us down? 

We will be investigating if we get slower as we get older. We will be working on and exploring reaction times between people of different ages. 

ICT -  This half term we exploring how to be a good online citizen and how to stay safe whilst using the internet.  

Dosbarth St Tathan:

Science - We are going to be investigating why zip wire are fast. We will be designing and creating our own zip wire carriages and then testing them on a range of different zip wires. 

ICT - This term we are going to be learning how to use spreadsheets in order to budget for a holiday to Brazil. We will be learning how to use formula to work out different costings and edit our spreadsheets to suit different family sizes.
