I'm Miss Jones. I am a year 2 teacher in Dosbarth St Cadoc.
I like reading and I really like sharing stories with my class. It is my favourite time of day.
Our book focus this week has been Rumpelstiltskin. We have been learning some new weaving skills just like Rumpelstiltskin would have used to create hanging decorations.
We were amazed to learn that there are three other places in the world called Cardiff! We made fact posters about these places and our own city.
We have been helping to share sheep between two fields. We hope the farmers are happy with our work!
This half term has already been busy and we are only in week 2! We have started our topic and have decided that we want to find out lots of things about the Arctic and Antarctic.
We learnt about puffins and how, in Wales, we have Skomer Island. This is an important place for puffins to live in the summer months.
During November we remember people who have been killed or hurt by war. We held a remembrance liturgy and made poppies to help us think about how we should care for one another.
Look at these fantastic presentations about an animal that migrate, hibernates or adapts.
The results are in from Dosbarth St Cadoc!
Congratulations to Riley, Safiyyah and Adam who will be representing their class this year!
We have been sharing our favourite stories - have a listen to some of our class sharing their favourite tales.
On Monday 20th September Tedi Twt returns from his adventure and he needs year 2's help! He wants us to find out where he has been and he has some exciting activities for us to do as we go on another mission with him!
